Hi, I'm Katherine! I’m an American interior designer and entrepreneur based in the seaside town of Sitges, just south of Barcelona. With over nine years of experience running creative and real-estate–focused businesses in both the United States and Spain, my work sits at the intersection of interior design, property renovation, and thoughtful space planning.

My professional background spans residential and commercial interior design, home styling, renovation and reform project management, real estate investment, and brand development. Before moving to Spain, I owned and operated Heartwood Homes in the United States, where I gained hands-on experience managing design projects from concept through execution. Since relocating, I’ve worked closely with local properties and international clients, helping them transform homes, investment properties, and workspaces with clarity, structure, and confidence.

The American Design Studio was created to offer a streamlined, full-service design experience—particularly for English-speaking clients navigating design and renovations in Spain. I offer both in-person services throughout the region and online design services internationally, supporting residential and commercial projects of varying scale.
